CompanionX ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It applies to all users of the CompanionX mobile application and any related services.
By using CompanionX, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This policy complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Mobile phone number (for OTP-based login), nickname, age, profile photo.
- Profile Data: Interests, bio, languages spoken, hourly rate (Companions only), availability.
- KYC Data: Selfie photo, government-issued ID (Aadhaar) — collected for identity verification only.
- Payment Information: UPI IDs (Companions), payment history. Full card details are handled by Razorpay and are never stored on our servers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: GPS coordinates collected when a Companion goes Online.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for account creation, matching & discovery within a 100km radius, booking management, and safety features like our SOS system.
4. Location Data
Location data is central to CompanionX’s functionality. GPS coordinates for Companions are saved only when status is toggled to "Online". We do not sell location data to third parties or share it with advertisers.
5. KYC and Identity Data
Aadhaar and selfie data are used solely for verification. Biometric data derived from verification is not used for any other purpose.
